Rahwana / Rahvana or known as “Ten Heads” appears on Indian-Hinduism Painting
The Figure
Rahwana is the king of giant in Alengka Kingdom. Rahwana has evil characteristic. He has ten heads (Dasamuka), ten neck (Dasagriva) and ten throat (Dasakanta). He has also twenty hands that show his arrogance and the unlimited passionate.
History
Rahwana is a son from Kekasi and Wisrawa (a resi). His ten heads is reflection from the diamond in his necklace the present from his father when he born. His ten heads are symbol of the ten characteristic power. Rahwana means “He who has great roar”
Characteristic
Rahwana is the good leader of his kingdom. He has good responsibility and obey to his God ; Siwa. He also brave. In other side, he has bad characteristic. He is conceited and greedy.
The Philosopy
We have to be strong to reach something that we want. We have to be hard worker.
