What is Brasero?

Brasero is an application to burn CD/DVD for the Gnome Desktop. It is designed to be as simple as possible and has some unique features to enable users to create their discs easily and quickly.

Features

  • Supports multiple backends: cdrtools, growisofs and libburn(optional).

Overview

 

1. Toolbar (back and forward buttons).
2. Address bar.
3. Search button.
4. View buttons.
5. Sidebar.
6. Main area.

Concepts

  1. Nautilus is Nemo’s predecessor. So they share same features. Thus, Nautilus has similar visual appearance with Mac OS X Finder.
  2. Recent Nautilus doesn’t have F3 (Split View) anymore.
  3. Nautilus in Ubuntu doesn’t have normal Menubar, but has global menu like Finder in Mac OS X.
